Following the conclusion of the World Cup, local author Mat Guy will be visiting October Books on Wednesday 18th July to read from and discuss his book Minnows Utd: Adventures at the Fringe of the Beautiful Game, an ode to the unsung heroes of football matches taking place out of the limelight, all over the world. What he finds is countries transcending the game itself and instead building communities, lifelines and friendship with football at the centre.
