Coronavirus situation update

Our lecture organisers may or may not have had time to update their events with cancellation notices. Clearly social gatherings are to be avoided and that includes lectures. STAY AT HOME FOLKS, PLEASE.

Social Policy Talk

The Rt Hon Tessa Jowell MP, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport will give a lunchtime talk.

Tessa Jowell's department has put forward some controversial proposals recently, such as allowing pubs and bars to open 24 hours a day and liberalising Britain's laws on gambling. There will be plenty of time for questions after the talk so why not take this opportunity to come and find out more about issues that affect us all. Tickets are £18 (£15 to members) and include a buffet lunch, glass of wine or soft drink and coffee.
