In conversation with Michael Mansfield

Clive Coleman, talks to Michael Mansfield QC about law, social justice and his career as one of Britain’s leading defence lawyers.

Join us as the BBC’s Legal Correspondent, Clive Coleman, talks to Michael Mansfield QC about law, social justice and his career as one of Britain’s leading defence lawyers.

Michael Mansfield’s commitment to his clients and radical approach to forensics, evidence and disclosure have made him a champion of the individual in many miscarriages of justice cases.

Having been called to the Bar in 1967, Michael has represented those wrongly convicted of the IRA’s Guildford and Birmingham pub bombings, the Bloody Sunday Inquiry, Barry George in the inquest into the death of Jill Dando, Mohamed al-Fayed in the inquests into the deaths of Dodi Fayed and Princess Diana, Stephen Lawrence’s family, and the Orgeaves miners – just to name a few.

This is a unique opportunity to hear from one of Britain’s most prominent lawyers speaking candidly to one of the country’s most accomplished legal journalists.
