Beatrice Offor was amongst the first women at The Slade. Once popular, like many others she is overlooked in history.
Beatrice Offor (1864 - 1920) was one of the first women who trained at The Slade and was a popular artist in her day - although, like many other women artists, she is overlooked in art history.
Bruce Castle Museum will be holding an exhibition from 21 March 2020, her centenary year.
To accompany the exhibition, there is a morning of free talks about her life and work.

◾12 noon Beatrice Offor: Love, Life and Art in Bruce Grove, Tottenham by Deborah Hedgecock - Curator, Bruce Castle Museum
The conference will be introduced by Dr Jan Marsh of the National Portrait Gallery (Curator of the recent Pre-Raphaelite Sisters exhibition).
