Coronavirus situation update

Our lecture organisers may or may not have had time to update their events with cancellation notices. Clearly social gatherings are to be avoided and that includes lectures. STAY AT HOME FOLKS, PLEASE.

Reaching a bigger audience - everything you need to know about licensing

You've got a well designed product and its selling well but there's only you making it!!

You've got a well designed product and its selling well but there's only you making it!! So what needs to happen, from a legal point of view, when you want to get it manufactured or are approached by someone who wants to manufacture it for you

This Own It event will cover licensing, royalties and manufacture and will look at the following:

- What is a licence?
- How do you negotiate a licence?
- Can you ask a licensee for an up-front payment?
- How much should the royalty be?
- Should a royalty decrease (or increase) with volume?
- How do you find and choose a licensee?
- What are the dangers of licensing and how can they be minimised?
- What does a licensing agreement look like and what should you look out for?

Please note: You will need a general understanding of Intellectual Property to benefit from this event.
