Drawing as Subversive Practice

Deanna Petherbridge, Arnolfini Professor in Drawing at the University of the West of England, talks on Darwing as Subversive Practice.


Deanna Petherbridge, Arnolfini Professor in Drawing at the University of the West of England, is both a practitioner and writer about art and has exhibited widely, with works in major collections. Her curated exhibitions include The Primacy of Drawing, 1991, The Quick and the Dead: Artists and Anatomy, and the radio series The Outline around the Shadow, 1997. This talk on ‘Drawing as Subversive Practice’ will launch a series of lectures she will be holding at Camberwell College in 2005/06.
