The Image Multiplied: Printmaking from Dürer to Digital

A panel discussion about the art of printmaking featuring seminal Pop artist Richard Hamilton and print dealer Alan Cristea.

Celebrated printmakers Richard Hamilton and Paul Schütze join print publisher and dealer Alan Cristea and print specialists Antony Griffiths and Stephen Coppel from the British Museum to debate a range of issues relating to the art of the print. Of particular consideration will be questions of originality; differences between traditional printmaking techniques and contemporary digital processes; the financial implications of publishing and selling prints; and the democracy and economics of the multiple image.
