St Stanislaus and Student Revelries

Continuing the theme of East-Central European music, this Year's lectures focus on Poland.


Musical manuscripts from before the mid-15th century are to be treasured for the rare glimpses they give not only of musical life but also of courtly, cultural and military history. What may we learn from student and battle songs or from hymns of praise to the patron saint of Poland?
