The author will speak about the philosophical currents and major figures that gave rise to this extraordinary era.
New Acropolis Cultural Association has pleasure in presenting a talk by anthropologist and philosopher Fernando Schwarz on the Spirit of the Renaissance.
Renaissance Humanism was the catalyst for a âculture shiftâ which gave shape to a new image of the world and a new conception of man.
Inspired by the heritage of the past yet resolutely looking towards the future, the Renaissance was able to create a new culture in the fields of the arts, science, religion and politics.
Today, the revival of Eastern and Western traditions, the rediscovery of timeless philosophy and the integration of modern advances in physical and human sciences are all contributing to building the foundations of a new Humanism and a new Renaissance.
Will we be able to extract new paradigms from all our knowledge to renew our ways of our thinking and help us move forward towards a more just and more human world?
The talk will be given in Spanish and translated simultaneously. Wine and light refreshments will be provided before the talk. There will be the opportunity to purchase the book and have it signed by the author after the talk.
