Future of Fatherhood
Fathers are continually reminded by the media and Government of their rights and responsibilities, but what does it really mean to be a father at the beginning of the twenty-first century? Is fatherhood better understood as a genetic or an emotional relationship? Is it a path chosen voluntarily, or can the State successfully force people to be fathers of their children? Is a new and non-punitive model of fatherhood slowly emerging from the ruins of the demise of traditional gender roles?
