Collections Revealed: Clocks and Chronometers

Come behind the scenes for a unique look at the Museum’s fascinating collection of clocks and chronometers.

Celebrate the opening of the new ‘Time’ galleries at the Royal Observatory and the 350th anniversary of the invention of the pendulum clock. Hear about the history and highlights of the collection and see how they are looked after in our brand-new conservation studios. Explore the new galleries with the curators involved in setting them up, and enjoy lunch in the splendour of the Octagon Room, designed by Sir Christopher Wren and now home to the Royal Observatory’s collection of splendid early pendulum clocks.
