Tim LeBon, author of Wise Therapy, will give the inaugural SPP annual lecture on "Philosophy in Practice."
"Move over Carole Caplin" proclaimed the Independent on Sunday. "Is Philosophy the new psychotherapy?" asked Psychologies Magazine. But Philosophy in Practice is more than just philosohical counselling - it includes philosophical workshops, Socratic Dialogue in management, philosophical enquiry in education to name but a few activities.
Tim LeBon will present his ideas, and also engage participants in an enquiry asking
- What is philosophy in practice?
- What are its benefits and limitations?
- How can it best be practised?
- How can philosophy in practice help me?
Tim LeBon is Chair of the Society for Philosophy in Practice and is the author of Wise Therapy by Sage. He is also one of the leading philosohical counsellors in this country and has been featured in the Indepedent, Observer, Indepedent on Sunday and Psychologies Magazine.
The talk will start at 600 pm be followed by the AGM of the SPP at 800pm . All welcome but please confirm attendance by email to talk@timlebon.com
