A range of practical one-day courses for adults.
These practical one-day courses explore textiles, jewellery and printing skills using the collections on display in the India Gallery as source material.
28 January 2006 & 1 February - Mirrorwork 15 February 2006 - Lino Cut, 4 March 2006 & 7 March 2006 - Jewellery, and 25 March 2006- Decorative Bags. These courses can be booked individually.
The V&A holds one of the largest collections of Indian artefacts outside the Indian sub-continent, exquisite miniature paintings, jewellery, jade, textiles alongside weaponry and furniture. Specialist tutors will draw on these collections to inspire participants to make samples and finished pieces. The emphasis will be on embellishing surfaces using wire, beads, threads, mirrors, inks and papers.
