The Three Evangelists, by Fred Vargas

Book Launch

When she discovers a mysterious tree grown overnight in her Paris garden, a Greek opera singer seeks help from an ex-cop and three historians – the three evangelists. A few days later, her body is found burnt to ashes in a car.
A historian and archaeologist, Fred Vargas is one of the finest living French crime writers. Her novels have been translated into 32 languages, and one will be adapted to the cinema. She will be at the Institut français to discuss her newly-translated book The Three Evangelists (Harvill Press, January 2006), translated by Sian Reynolds, with writer Ben Faccini. In French and English.
