Rawls, Citizenship And Dissent

The Forum northwest offers an opportunity to participate in a Forum Provocations outside of London.

I turn to Rawls’ later and controversial works, Political
Liberalism (1993, 1996) and Justice as Fairness: A Restatement (2001), to examine whether
his conception of citizenship is only geared toward consensus and conformity and his quest
for democratic stability does not pay too high a price in terms of the values of reflection and
dissent.
