Widespread prejudice has it that America does not have a class system. Discuss?
Widespread prejudice has it that America does not have a class system. Barbara Ehrenreich, the acclaimed American writer, campaigner and author of Nickle and Dimed and Bait and Switch, begs to disagree. In her talk at the ICA, Ehrenreich attempts to shed some light on the mysteries of Americaâs class structure, the morale of its elite and its working class. Following her talk, Ehrenreich will be interviewed by James Geary, Europe editor of Time magazine and author of We are what we think.
