Beyond a Joke? Cartoons and Human Rights

Debate with experts covering the whole spectrum of opinion concerning freedom of expression and religion


In the wake of the furore over the cartoons recently published in a Danish newspaper, issues of free speech, incitement to racial hatred and whether people can or should take a joke are very clearly raised. The rights to free speech, religious freedom and right to life are obviously engaged and potentially clashing.
