The Apothecary Tour

From Garden To Garret : A tour from living herbs to the apothecary process

Starting within the fresh herb garden of St George the Martyr Church,
the tour leads to the 18th century church of Old St Thomas' Hospital
for a demonstration of traditional medicinal preparations -
infusions, poultices, pills. Discover, touch and smell a wide range
of medicinal herbs in the garden and on permanent display in the museum,
from wormwood to knitbone; lavender to rose petals.
