Football Fever

In the build up to the 2006 World Cup, the Dana Centre is holding an evening devoted to the science of the beautiful game. Highlights include a football simulator with scientists on hand to explain the physics of footie including why balls curve and spin. Plus experts will be on hand to look at the psychology of football. Questions include, can a crowd influence a referee? Can football create a sense of community and loyalty amongst its fans? Speakers to be announced.
