A fusion of science, comedy, music, live experiments, video clips, slide shows and interactive voting, as Punk Science answer some of the biggest and most important scientific quandaries of our time. What, they will ask, is a black hole? How will the Universe end? Is there life after death? Is time travel possible? And are ladybirds trying to take over the world? Exclusive preview for Punk Science’s new Edinburgh Fringe show.
Is Big Brother turning your brain to mush? Do you hate yourself for being stupid? Do you like celebs more than science? Do you want answers? Do you want them now? Do you feel like you’ve just been asked too many questions?
Two nice lads from the Science Museum’s Dana Centre - who perform under the banner of Punk Science - will fuse science with comedy, music, live experiments, video clips, slide shows and interactive voting in their brand new show, Know it All?, at the Edinburgh Fringe which opens on Wednesday 2nd August at the Metro Gilded Balloon Teviot.
Punk Science will daringly go where no comedian has gone before and attempt to answer some of the biggest and most important scientific quandaries of our time.
What, they will ask, is a black hole? How will the Universe end? Is there life after death? Is time travel possible? And are ladybirds trying to take over the world?
Punk Science has already made waves with sell out shows at the Science Museum’s Dana Centre in London - the UK’s only venue for adults to experience contemporary and controversial science - with performances on the science of gluttony, the global energy crisis and Albert Einstein.
Punk Science aims to take the scariness out science and make it accessible to anyone with half a brain or, failing that, reality TV stars.
Punk uses live science demonstrations and video clips to help the audience in their journey to enlightenment, they also throw in the odd vote to keep the crowd involved in the debate.
Jon Milton from Punk Science said: “At first I thought science was my mortal enemy, but by doing these shows I’ve learnt to love science like a pet.â€
