An Evening with Alan Bennett

For one night only Alan Bennett will return to his home city of Leeds, for a special evening with guests at the Thackray Museum.

Alan Bennett’s work is renowned internationally for his canny ability to capture characters that we all recognise and his talent of making fantastic stories out of the everyday and the mundane. Although now an iconic figure in British culture Alan Bennett is a reluctant celebrity. This evening will give you a unique insight into the life and work of this remarkable man.
The evening will begin with an informal traditional Yorkshire meal of Pie and Peas or Fish and Chips followed by Curd Tart or Rhubarb Fool.
