Medicine and History Lecture Series: Black Death Day

The history of medicine lecture series looks at a wide range of factors that have influenced changes in medicine and health and is suitable for those with little or no knowledge of the subject.


There will be two talks: The Black Death – With computer simulations of The Middle Ages’ pandemic by Dr. Mark Bailey, Headmaster, Leeds Grammar School and Mr. Mark Smith, Head of Biology, Leeds Grammar School
and
The Plague Today – still with us! by Dr. Martin Schweiger, Consultant in Communicable Disease Control, Health Protection Agency, West Yorkshire
