FIONA FOLEY ‘STRANGE FRUIT’
The title of this exhibition echoes one of the most poignant and influential protest songs ever written, Billie Holiday’s ghostly classic, ‘Strange Fruit’.
Artist, activist, curator and writer, Fiona Foley stands at the forefront of cultural-political discourse in Australia. Her photographs and sculptural installations stand witness to a history of trauma, invasion and dispossession. This exhibition, ‘Strange Fruit’, features a recent body of work by the artist.
