Everyone has enjoyed blowing bubbles. It is easy to create perfectly formed, beautiful spherical shells of liquid. The unexpected stability of these spheres has attracted scientists to study the properties of films and bubbles. But why are bubbles the subject of research by chemists, physicists, mathematicians and biologists and what is the link with road networks and cell structure?
