Fifth Annual Kolmogorov Lecture

Presented by Professor Yakov Sinai (Princeton University, USA) and entitled "Renormalization Group Theory in Probability and Analysis."

Abstract: Renormalization Group Theory (RGT) is closely connected with the concept of self-similar random processes which were introduced by Kolmogorov seventy years ago. In this talk I shall outline the basic notions of RGY and show its applications in probability theory and the theory of 3D-Navier-Stokes system.
