An open meeting of the Rochdale Unitarian Church discussion group, including a showing of Oscar winner, "An Inconvenient Truth".
âAn Inconvenient Truthâ â“ climate change discussion
The Oscar-winning film, "An Inconvenient Truth", about Al Gore's "crusade to halt global warming's deadly progress" will be shown at Rochdale Unitarian Church on Tuesday 24 April 2007 at 7.30 pm. The viewing is part of the church's discussion group programme and will hopefully spark debate about the issues surrounding climate change. Together with his other work to raise awareness of climate change, the film has also earned Gore a nomination for a Nobel prize.
This will be an open meeting of the discussion group and all are welcome. There is no charge for the event, but you are encouraged to let Rev Gillian Peel know if you plan to attend so that we may have an idea of expected numbers.
For further information about the event telephone 01706 648461 or 01706 340465.
