Thomas Gainsborough - Surface, Superficiality and Celebrity
Michael Rosenthal, Chair in the History of Art at the University of Warwick. He has published on Constable, Gainsborough - he was lead curator of the Gainsborough show at Tate Britain in 2002 - and British art more generally, and is currently writing a
book on early Colonial Australia.
