Joining us on the Science Oxford sofa will be Dr Laura Herz and Dr Ed Hawkins. Laura, from Oxford University, researches new low cost carbon semiconductors for use in solar cells. Ed, from University of Reading, researches the predictability of the Gulf Stream. Together they will be discussing how their research will play a role in combating climate change by, using technology to make more efficient, cheaper clean power, and predicting and modelling what future climates might be like.
