This talk, drawing on Dennis Silk's long friendship with Sassoon, will discuss the poet's friendship with T.E. Lawrence. Sassoon was one of the first readers of the Oxford Text of 'Seven Pillars of Wisdom' and remained a friend until Lawrence's death.
The talk is one of two given on the same afternoon. The ticket price includes both talks.
The other talk, by Lawrence's authorised biographer Jeremy Wilson, will describe Lawrence's long association with ships and boats.
