Lawrence at Sea

Lawrence "of Arabia" is usually associated with deserts, yet ships and boats played an important part in his life.

While 'Lawrence of Arabia' is widely associated with the deserts of the Middle East, he spent more time than most people in boats and ships. Lawrence at Sea will give an account of this aspect of his life, never previously explored as a topic. The talk will be illustrated with a photographs of vessels that figured in his career, not least the warships that gave crucial assistance to the Arab Revolt.

The ticket price includes a second lecture on the same afternoon by Dennis Silk, on Lawrence's friendship with Siegfried Sassoon.
