John Keane: Painting is History

Artist John keane traces teh development of his work over the past thirty years.

Artist John Keane will trace the development of his work over the last 30 years and discuss how he has sought to address unfolding contemporary history, with particular reference to conflict and the pursuit of violence for political ends.
Keane was Official British War Artist during the Gulf War and has since explored a variety of subjects, the most recent being the Moscow Theatre Siege.
