Dr Anja Steinbauer, editor of Philosophy Now magazine, is talking to the Heythrop Philosophy Society on feminist ethics.
Dr. Steinbauer is a well known figure on the London philosophy scene. A German by birth, with an accent eminently suited to lecturing, she divides her time betweeen editing the popular magazine Philosophy Now, being president of Philosophy for All (Anja, if you need a web designer, do email), and teaching at the Mary Ward Centre in Bloomsbury. Oh, and coming to talk to us ..
A point of interest, Dr. Steinbauer is also a specialist in Sinology - the study of China - having completed her PhD with a thesis based on the New Confucian philosopher, Tang Junyi.
She'll be talking on something completely different: Feminist Approaches to Ethics, with a polite response by our very own Dr. Michael Lacewing. I've had the pleasure of witnessing Michael reply to a visiting lecturer before, and believe me, he performs. (and chuckles on occasion).
Do join us.
