The Department of American Studies at King's College London is
delighted to announce that to mark the 200th anniversary of the
abolition of the Atlantic Slave Trade, Professor Werner Sollors, Henry
B. and Anne M. Cabot Professor of English Literature and Professor of
African and African American Studies, Harvard University, will give a
lecture entitled:

"Gustavus Vassa/Olaudah Equiano: The World of an 18th-Century
Anti-Slave-Trade Activist"

The lecture will take place in the Weston Room, Maughan Library, on
Friday 16 November, at 11.00 a.m, with coffee & welcome at 10.30.
