The Short History of the Red Rubber Band - Utility, Usefulness and Gathering
A talk by Yonatan Vinitsky
Artist Yonatan Vinitsky will present a one-hour talk discussing the 1845
English patent of the rubber band and its connections to the present day.
The talk will fuse various subjects and narrative, current time and history in a way that the talk itself functions as a rubber band and a source for gathering
and passing information and stories.
Yonatan Vinitsky (b. 1980 Jerusalem) is an artist working with installations,
drawings and films. Having graduated from Goldsmiths College in 2006,
he is currently completing his MA in sculpture at the Royal College Of Art.
