A Journey through Sacred Architecture

Discover the world's most sacred places in this talk

In the Renaissance, architecture was considered as the greatest of all arts and sciences. When we contemplate the magnificence of the Pyramids, the dark mystery of Chartres Cathedral or the intricate designs of Islamic architecture, we can perhaps understand why. This talk will take us through a visual tour of some of the world’s greatest buildings to understand the guiding principles of sacred architecture. In particular, it will focus on the idea of the Centre and why this was considered such an important symbol in every time and place.
