Coronavirus situation update

Our lecture organisers may or may not have had time to update their events with cancellation notices. Clearly social gatherings are to be avoided and that includes lectures. STAY AT HOME FOLKS, PLEASE.

The Oldest European Map of the World

Dr. Simon Glendenning (LSE), Director of the Forum for European Philosophy, talks to the Heythrop Philosophy Society, Kensington Square.

Perhaps the best dressed philosopher in London, and certainly one of the most interesting, Dr. Glendenning makes his living straddling two equally rich traditions: the "analytic" and the "continental". Editor of the Edinburgh Encyclopedia of Continental Philosophy, and author of the excellent On Being With Others: Heidegger-Derrida-Wittgenstein (Routledge 1998) he has recently turned his attention to the european inheritance of phenomenology.

Under the cryptic title "The Oldest European Map of the World", expect a lucid, insightful and rather stimulating talk.

We hope to see you there!
