Multiple prizewinner Jamie McKendrick, is a sensitive and darkly funny writer. The Guardian describes his 2007 work Crocodiles & Obelisks as a âcomplex, absorbing, questioning, crafted, and ultimately very affecting collection of poems.â
Jean Sprackland won last yearâs Costa Poetry Award for Tilt and is known for her extraordinary imagination and grounding in ordinary human emotions and settings.
