Ben Russell, Curator at London's Science Museum, will talk about the new technologies which shaped Britain in the post-war period, including the rise of consumer technologies and DIY. He will consider how scientific and technological developments affected equipment used in the home and how they led to the emergence of an increasingly affluent and design-conscious nation.
