The Signs of the Times and the Time of the Heart:

Applying ancient and indigenous wisdom this lecture looks at how the collective karmas of the West are playing out today in contemporary social and political disturbance.

ROGER J. WOOLGER, PH.D, is a Jungian analyst, regression therapist and professional lecturer with degrees in psychology, religion and philosophy from Oxford and London Universities. He trained as an analyst at the C.G. Jung Institute, Zurich.

This lecture looks at how the collective karmas of the West are playing out today in contemporary social and political disturbance. Hindu tradition sees the current Kali Age as one of "impure residues" from previous eras while Jung's observed a destructive collective Shadow among the advanced nations; likewise the prophecies of Hopi, Kogi and other traditional peoples warn us that we are in a time needful of purification and spiritual re-alignment. Dr Woolger proposes three kinds of time: the time of history, with its cycles of change and renewal; the time of the soul, that vast mundus imaginalis known to artists, visionaries and mystics; and the time of the heart, which lies at the spiritual core of all healing and awakening.
