Little is known of the wife of England's greatest playwright, and a great deal, none of it complimentary, has been assumed. Germaine Greer combines literary-historical techniques with documentary eveidence about life in Stratford in an attempt to put Shakespeare's marriage in its social context. Followed by a question and answer session which can cover the full range of issues Professor Greer is associated with.
