Hermione Lee talks about her critically-acclaimed biography of America's most prolific and popular writer, Edith Wharton


Professor Hermione Lee, Univesity of Oxford, has written a painstakingly researchd account of Edith Wharton's life and works. Lee presents Wharton in a new and different light, illuminating the complexities and inner struggles of this fascinating woman whose writing tackled the conflicting, and often thwarted, desires of women - and men - in 'The Age of Innoncence' and beyond.
