Phil Chapman was born in West Africa and grew up with a passion for nature. After studying Zoology at University, he spent 12 years travelling the world of n scientific expeditions before settling in Bristol as an education officer at Bristolâs City Museum & Art Gallery . He directed his first TV film for National Geographic in 1987 and joined the BBC in 1990, producing numerous wildlife programmes including âWild Chinaâ.
