Debate between two former US Congressmen. The 2008 Elections: the campaign, the result, the prospects.
A debate by Former US Congressman John J Rhodes and Former US Congressman George J Hochbrueckner
Thursday 13th November 2008 at 6:00pm
Room 1.10, Queens Building, De Montfort University, Mill Lane, Leicester
It gives me great pleasure to invite you to this special event being held at De Montfort University. The debate is part of the âCongress to Campusâ programme, which arranges for teams of former members of the United States Congress to visit University and College campuses, to take part in Higher Education and public events focused on political affairs.
We will be receiving Former US Congressman John J Rhodes, Republican representative from Arizona and Former US Congressman George J Hochbruecker, Democrat representative from New York; this debate will centre on the 2008 US elections and will be chaired by Professor Philip Davies of De Montfort University and the British Library.
The discussion will be taking place at 6:00pm and will last for approximately one hour. This will include a question/answer session. After the debate, we would be delighted if you would join us for complimentary drinks and canapés in the downstairs foyer of the Queens Building.
If you would like to attend the event, please contact Daniel Jones on 0116 257 7452 or email eventsoffice@dmu.ac.uk. Please note that spaces are limited so it is advisable to confirm your attendance as soon as possible.
I do hope you will be able to join us for what promises to be a very interesting discussion.
