Genetics gets Personal

Exploring the ethics of personal genetic sequencing

Would you pay to have your genome sequenced? Would these kinds of tests give you useful information about risks to your health, or just cause anxiety and increase your insurance premiums? Should the tests be freely available and what would be the consequences for the NHS? Harald Schmidt, Assistant Director of the Nuffield Council on Bioethics, will explore some of the issues surrounding personal genome sequencing.
