An Intensive Day of Workings with Orryelle Defenestrate Bascule
Magick is about manipulation of energy and an energized body is the sorcerer's most powerful tool, allowing enactment of mental and astral concepts and prefigurations in the flesh." In this day of bodyworkings, Orryelle dives into the realm of intense physicality. His own developments have come out of studies of techniques from kundalini yoga, Butoh dance, Suzuki physical theatre, pranayama, Sufi drum-breath, dervish dancing, seidr/Seething, harmonic chanting and sekhem. He shares his explorations of combining these various methods, and give participants an experience of why he believes magic must be based in the physical to be earthed. This workshop is very practical yet contains theoretical grounding. No foreknowledge of any of the techniques or methods involved is required (although a very basic bodily fitness is necessary, ie no heart problems etc.) Those familiar with aspects of some of them can still be assured they will be propelled into new spaces by their combination and magickal application. Gnosis awaits. Orryelle Defenestrate Bascule is one of our era's most prolific and diverse magical practitioners, one of the few who can be said to be on the cutting edge. His visual art is published now by Fulgur Ltd (Conjunctio, 2008). Also a performance artist, he has done shows in several countries, and his striking semi-public magical workings have made a mark on contemporary occult culture. Orryelle is in the UK for a short time only, and places are strictly limited (13 maximum), so early booking advised.
