Free Seminar for writers to learn how to protect their creative work
When: 15.07.09 at 18:00
Where: Florita's Bar, 28-32 Collingwood Road Newcastle upon Tyne , NE1 1JF
Whether you are new to writing or you are an experienced writer you need to protect your copyright. Your original work has great potential value, but keeping hold of this asset or being paid appropriately can be challenging. This event will help you answer important questions about copyright and provide personal insight from two successful regional writers working in the industry.
The area of copyright can be daunting for many, but this session will cover a number of vital areas giving practical and personal advice. We will look at a range of issues including:
⢠How do I protect my copyright? Do I need to register my work and if so with whom?
⢠How do I protect myself when sending work out to agents, producers etc?
⢠How do I protect my intellectual property from adaptation and theft?
⢠If my work is influenced by real events is there a copyright issue?
