Adventures of a Fossil Collector

Join Professor Richard Fortey for tales from his long and distinguished career


Geologists, like cats, have nine lives. Over the last 40 years, Professor Richard Fortey has used up 8 of his in collecting trilobites around the world. In this lecture, he will describe some of his many adventures and misadventures, in the cause of discovering and describing new species, throwing new light on the Ordovician age.
