Ceramics and the Built Environment Conference

As part of Architecture Week the Crafts Council has collaborated with Arts Council England to produce a one-day conference that celebrate and explores new work which integrates craft and architecture with a particular focus on ceramics.

The Ceramics and the Built Environment Conference day at the Crafts Council will made up of presentations by artists whose work has been created as an integral part of the space or environment for which it was made, or has been produced in collaboration with architects. The event will be chaired by Jes Fernie with speakers including Jacqui Poncelet, Dominic Williams (Ellis William Architects), Clare Twomey, Louise Jenkins and Robert Dawson. The aim of the day is to demonstrate the breadth of contemporary craft in its applications to built environments.
