Pandaemonium

Highly Acclaimed Crime thriller writer Christopher Brookmyre reads from his newest novel PANDAEMONIUM.

Christopher Brookmyre Reading from his new book, Pandaemonium

Christopher Brookmyre's highly acclaimed crime and thriller writing has earned him a reputation for brilliantly plotted and crackling funny novels with a dark edge.

3 November, 6pm, Dalhousie Building, University of Dundee. Drinks Reception follows at 7pm.

PANDAEMONIUM takes these elements and marks a new direction in writing for Brookmyre in this clever satire that fuses world politics, religion and a group of school kids that have been sent on a counselling (and partying) retreat to help them come to terms with the murder of a fellow pupil.

As the teenagers attempt to smoke and swear their way through this unorthodox school trip, even more chaotic forces are at work not so terribly far away. In a military experiment that has been pushed beyond control, inner Hell may have been unleashed. For the military, scientific, political and religious bodies involved, a combination of terror and temptation is brought into play. And what can possibly curb the force of ambition now that Hell is already here?

Book signing in association with Borders Books follows the event. You can purchase your copy of PANDAEMONIUM on the night or bring your own copy. Tickets are free but places in the main lecture theatre are limited.
