Creative collaborations and opportunities

This event will explore what role creative collaboration can play in the performing arts

When: 10.12.09 at 18:00
Where: The Lethaby Theatre G12, Central St Martins, Southampton Row, London , WC1B 4AP

What role can creative collaboration play in the performing arts? It can be a cornerstone of their success, as Akram Khan Company has proved. One of the UK's leading contemporary dance companies, it has managed to strike a fine balance between its artistic and business needs.

At this event, we are honoured to have Farooq Chaudhry, company producer of the Akram Khan Company (AKC), who will be sharing his insights on AKC's innovative business model and talking about how creative collaboration is an integral part of its success.

This event will also include a presentation by a legal expert specialising in the creative industries, who will touch on some of the legal and intellectual property issues that can potentially arise from collaborations.
Panel discussion to take place between 6-8.30 pm followed by drinks and networking until 9pm.

Admission is free, however places are limited. In order to reserve your place you must register and book online at: http://www.own-it.org/events/creative-collaborations-and-opportunities
